Shilajit is a bituminous substance composed of a compact mass of organic plant matter. It possesses a dark reddish, sticky, and oily texture, interwoven with plant fibres, sand, and earthy particles. The Sanskrit word "Shilajit" translates to "Conqueror of Mountains and Destroyer of Weakness."
