KIKI Health grows organic red Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) mushrooms on Duanwood (original wood logs), a wood-rich substrate where Reishi develops organically, resulting in a strong and high-quality reishi extract with the most bio-active ingredients available. Reishi contains two types of bioactive compounds: beta-D-glucans (a form of polysaccharide) and triterpenes (triterpenoids). Glucans can also differ based on their structure. Mushrooms grown on grain substrate are high in alpha-glucans, whereas mushrooms produced on wood substrate are high in beta-glucans. Ganoderma lucidum's triterpenes are derived from the use of wood as a substrate. As a result, if Reishi was grown on grain, it will have little or no triterpenes. KIKI Health's Organic Reishi Extract Powder is derived from the mushroom fruiting bodies, which have been shown to be substantially richer in active compounds and polysaccharides high in beta-D-glucans than mushrooms obtained from mycelium. To acquire the valuable functional components contained inside the mushroom cells, temperature-controlled extract technology is used; the modern production approach allows for the highest levels of active nutrients to be caught. This Organic Reishi Extract Powder has been effectively standardized to include 50% polysaccharides and a large amount of triterpenes and polyphenols. The extract ratio ranges from 15:1 to 17:1, making it one of the highest on the market. This means that 15kg of mushrooms are used to generate 1kg of extract powder.
